According to vice-premier of the Republic of Tatarstan, Minister of Information and Communications Nikolay Nikiforov, construction of IT-Village, where assumed to live and work 20 thousand experts of IT tecnologies, will begin in spring of 2012, reported digit.ru. The decision to build innovation center IT-Village with total area 12 million square meters in Verkhneuslonsky region of Tatarstan was adopted in 2010. Tatarstan has signed an agreement with leading Singapore company RSP Architects&Engineers PTE Ltd to develope a master-plan for this undertaking. In this IT-Village, situated in 35 kilometers from capital Kazan, will be developed all necessary modern infrastructures to live and work. Singapore company has identified the main concept of this project as "Live, learn, work and play". The project will be implemented as a public-private partnership. According to preliminary estimates, the total cost of project could range from 90-120 billion rubles. However, according to Minister it will depend on investors and developers. As reported in article, the construction of IT-Village will start at spring 2012 and complete after 5-7 years.

QR Code contains useful information about monument or building, and one can receive the information through a mobile telephone. The program is mainly provided for tourists to facilitate obtaining information about the historical and cultural monuments in Armen. Each QR code transfers to the corresponding page of monuments.yerevan.am web-site, which contains information about each monument in three languages (Armenian, Russian and English) including the name of the architect, the material used to create the monument, its history and photographs. The Program was offered by Yerevan City Hall and realized by "Center of Technology Management of Yerevan" and foundation "City of the World". It should be noted, that each QR Code plate costs 150 thousand AMD. QR code is designed by the Japanese company "Denso-Wave". It contains characters: letters, numbers and special symbols. One QR code may contain up to 7089 digits and 4296 characters. QR codes are often used to transfer information from one phone to another.
Yesterday, on the 13th of April, German well-known company OBO Bettermann held introductory seminar at Armenia Marriott Hotel. The company this year celebrates its 100-year anniversary and is one of the leading European companies offering information technology and electrical network services. Innovative Composites International, a Canadian builder, will construct plastic homes for thousands of earthquake victims in Haiti. The units it will build are expected to cost less, but be stronger, more environment-friendly and easier to assemble compared to houses built using traditional construction materials. The technology involves combining high-strength fibers with low-cost plastic and making available structural applications in lieu of steel, concrete and wood with a strong, light and 100 percent recyclable material. An official of the Canadian Home Builders Association said wood, which is usually used for house framing in Canada, is not an ideal building materials for Haiti and in other countries with warm and tropical climates because of the need to treat wood for decay. The material that Innovative Composites will use is expected to withstand hurricanes and tremors. More than one million homes were destroyed by the magnitude 7 earthquake that struck Haiti in January 2010. In October, Innovative Composites was named a finalist of the Building Back Better Communities housing competition in Port-au-Prince. The firm has as its partners for the project 3D Global Solutions and Barclays Gedi Group, which are private U.S. companies. Their consortium promised to deliver 5,000 houses yearly. The housing project, which is expected to cost $4 billion, would be divided among 6 to 10 developers. US$4-billion fund has been established under the stewardship of former U.S. president Bill Clinton.
