“Myler” multifunctional mountain complex, that is being built in Yeghipatrush community of Aparan province, claims to become the leader in the region. Tigran Harutyunyan, the founder of the project “Myler Mountain Resort” is a big fan of mountain skiing, and it was his longtime dream to establish a mountain skiing sports complex in Armenia that meets the international standards. Yeghipatrush was chosen for the implementation of “Myler Mountain Resort” project, because it is an ideal place due to its geographical location and climatic conditions. An area of more than 600 hectares is planned for the complex. “Myler Mountain Resort” project is being implemented jointly with a well known Canadian company "Ecosign", which has about 40 years of work experience in the field of design of mountain recreation areas. The cable car, both seat and gondola types, will be designed and built by the Austrian company Doppelmayr. The advantages of this ski complex will also be small "conveyor" zones for beginner skiers: the magic carpets, the artificial snowmaking system, which will solve the problem of insufficient snow, and ensure quality snow cover all winter for visitors. The activities of the ski complex will not be limited only to the winter months. It is planned to make it an attractive summer vacation destination as well. "Myler" will be a big ski town with recreation and entertainment zones, hotels, cottages, restaurants and other infrastructure. The first phase of the project, with an investment volume of more than 60 million euros, will be completed in the winter of 2023, and the overall project is expected to be completed between 2032 and 2035. An investment of 250-300 million euros is planned for the whole decade. "In the final stage, after 11-12 years, we are sure that we will compete with Ski resorts in Krasnaya Polyana . What we plan now, with the first phase of the project, is enough to have the most developed and equipped unique center in Armenia. Already at the final stage "Myler" complex claims to become the best in the region. Now our regional center is in Georgia, Gudauri," says Tigran Harutyunyan.

After a short break due to the new coronavirus infection, the construction of the second section of M6 interstate road is already restarted (Tumanyan-Bagratashen customs checkpoint, 51.74 km). The section connects Armenia with Georgia. The road M6 Vanadzor-Alaverdi-Georgian border starts from Vanador city, crossing 33 communities of Lori and Tavush marzes of RA, and reaches Bagratashen customs checkpoint. The first stage of reconstruction of this 90 km long interstate road was completed on December 24, 2018․Tumanyan-Bagratashen customs checkpoint (51.74 km) is currently being renovated with the co-financing of the Asian Development Bank (44.04M EUR) and Armenian government (10.14M EUR). This road of interstate significance, serving more than 3 dozen communities, was in a desperate condition and was of great inconvenience to drivers and passengers travelling from Armenia to Georgia. In spring, after the snow and rain, the danger of rockslides and collapses increases, which was taken into consideration as well. The works include also construction of retaining walls and drainage system. Road reconstruction works are carried out in 3 sections with the involvement of 3 contractors. The works in the sections are carried out by the following companies: Tumanyan-Sanahin Station - Horizon 95 LLC; Sanahin Station – Haghpat - AAB Project LLC; Haghpat - Bagratashen customs checkpoint - Suardi JSC. 8 bridges will be repaired at Tumanyan-Bagratashen customs checkpoint, including 2 bridges in Alaverdi, that serve the route of Vanadzor-Alaverdi interstate road. One of the bridges was built in 1961 and another in 1989. The need to build the second bridge in Alaverdi arose due to the emergency condition of the old bridge. And yet, all these years the old bridge was being used. The completion of M6 “Vanadzor-Alaverdi-Georgian border” interstate road reconstruction is scheduled for November 2020․

Recently Mayor of Yerevan Hayk Marutyan met with representatives of Renovation Project Management Company regarding the construction of a residential complex in the area adjacent to Halabyan Street. It is noteworthy, that the implementation of this project could be a great stimulus for the economy, taking into account the global crisis of the past few months, that caused great damage to the economy. Given these and other circumstances, we hope that the project implementation will not take long. Construction is one of the areas that can give some impetus to the economy, which suggests that this project will be implemented in the nearest future. According to the preliminary design, it is planned to build five multi-storey buildings, which will completely solve the problem of the resettlement of residents in six adjacent unsafe buildings. According to the proposed project, relocation of the residents will start only after construction is complete. According to the plan, the tenants of the newly constructed buildings will be provided with repaired apartments in accordance with their existing living space, and those who have garages will receive underground parking lots. The Mayor of Yerevan Hayk Marutyan gives great importance to the social aspect of the project, which promotes the solution of the problem of living in a safe, reliable and comfortable environment for residents of unsafe buildings on Halabyan street. According to the preliminary design only 6,000 square meters will be used for the construction of the buildings, the remaining 35,000 square meters will be fully landscaped and used as a recreation zone. According to the information from the mayor’s office, Hayk Marutyan emphasized that the community supports all investors and developers who, in parallel with city improvement, solve important social issues.

Recently the Department of Information and Public Relations of Yerevan Municipality informed us about the planned repair and construction works in the capital city this year. According to the information provided, the program of major repairs includes repair of numerous educational, cultural and recreational institutions and roads. “Within the framework of Asian Development Bank we have projects for 30 kindergartens”,- said Grigor Harutyunyan, head of the Department of Construction and Improvement of Yerevan Municipality. Three important cultural centers will be renovated during this year. The Theater of the Young Spectator, the City Youth Creativity Center, Children and Youth Creative Civil Center and the Exhibition hall of the People's Artist of Armenia Eduard Isabekyan soon will function in completely new environment. Improvement of the exhibition hall is one of the main tasks, if we take into account the fact that there are about 30 paintings, and the hall does not have the necessary conditions for humidity, lighting and temperature. “The problem is acute, since the paintings are already damaged. Paint layers are swollen and cracked. The exhibition hall will begin to work, will be reborn, there will be many expositions”, said the Director of the Exhibition hall Irina Isabekyan. 10.000 m² of road will be repaired this year in Yerevan - twice as much as last year. Considerable work will also be done on the construction and improvement of parks, new sidewalks, the replacement of walls, curbs and the irrigation network. Four pedestrian underpasses will also be repaired in 2020. “This year we have approved a budget of 300 million drams and have already ordered projects for the following pedestrian underpasses: Grigor Lusavorich Street, Mashtots Avenue, Azatutyun Avenue (“Lambada” bridge) and Tamantsineri Street”, noted Grigor Harutyunyan. The municipality of Yerevan began the repair works in underpasses in December: “300.0 million drams were allocated for the project, however, the construction work is ongoing in three underground passes for which contract agreements for 44.0 million drams have been signed. ” The primary medical care centers are also in the spotlight. Along with the program of equipping clinics with medical equipment, overhauls will be carried out in medical centers. This year there are 5 policlinics in the program. Clinic #12 with an area of 8,000 square meters will be repaired in stages. This year the problem of bathrooms and power supply of the whole building will be solved, cabinet doors will be replaced.

This summer, the construction of the The House of Paul Eluard Francophone Center began. The construction is carried out by the “Portal” architectural studio together with the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund and the Artsakh Government. The building occupies 700 square meters. The completion of construction works is scheduled for summer 2020. Next to the Center of Francophone it is planned to build an IT school for 450 students and a chapel. The Francophone Center consists of three parts: non-commercial, commercial and the garden. The main entrance is from Tumanyan street. The indoor corridor is the link between the sidewalk and the garden, where the entrances to the commercial and non-commercial parts are located. There is also a second entrance on the west side, where car parking is located. Near the main entrance will stand statue to Paul Eluard. The project is of great interest for everyone. We talked about this with the architect of the Portal studio Sevak Asryan. - I’ll begin with non-commercial part, which is 488m². Here we have the main hall with an area of 135 m² and a height of 5 m. This is a transformable hall, which is divided into two parts by a removable partition. Here you can organize various events by changing the position of chairs and tables. The hall has access to the garden through opening stained glass doors. On the same floor we also have: a conference hall, a classroom, a library, a dressing-room, a bathroom and a utility premise. On the second floor there are three guest rooms with balconies overlooking at Charles Aznavour’s park, as well as the director's office, an open terrace and the laundry. The total area of the commercial part is 327 m² which includes 127 m² dining room with a serving kitchen and direct access to the garden and an open dining area, as well as a bakery, a utility premise, dressing room and toilets. In the basement there will be a cellar, entrance to which is planned to be from the garden. The area of the garden is 850 m². In its central part it is planned to build fountains and a gazebo with a canopy. The garden is located next to the IT school, which has a sports ground, open also for the visitors of the Francophone Center. The architecture of the project is made in modern style with flat roofs. Local stones, tufa, wood, glass and metal are used for exterior cladding and finishes.
